Dates in Greek History

March 12, 1907:
Eleven Greek laborers, possibly more, drowned while riding a ferry on the Sacramento River above the mouth of Pit River. Five laborers reached the shore. The party of about 20 boarded the ferry that was taking passengers to Delamar. After hitting swift waters, they huddled at the front of the ferry and were swept overboard.
