80+ Killed in Baghdad Blast
"All the greatest men are maniacs. They are possessed by a mania that drives them towards their goal. The great scientists, the philosophers, the religious leaders -- all maniacs."
-- Ian Fleming, Dr. No

From Iraq The Model: "The president called for a war to annihilate terrorists and I couldn't agree more. Those terrorists must be annihilated; blowing up civilians in markets is genocide. It's a crime against humanity... The victims had nothing to protect themselves from bullets and bombs, they were not soldiers and they were not politicians...The latest attack in a series of terror attacks against marketplaces in Baghdad, as I saw it from the roof of my home." + BAGHDAD (Toronto Star) — Thunderous explosions and dense black smoke swirled through central Baghdad on Monday when two car bombs tore through a crowded marketplace, setting off secondary blasts and killing at least 71 people, police said. Another bombing nearby killed at least nine. The violence came on the first anniversary — according to the Muslim lunar calendar — of the bombing of the important Shiite Golden Dome shrine in Samarra

Baghdad must be a living hell.
You can't even go to the neighborhood shopping areas without risking your life.
I admit to getting discouraged with all the civilian casualties. The hardest part is that they are doing this to each other.
Animals!! There are plenty of innocent people in Iraq who just want to live peaceful lives, reading the Koran and seeing their kids grow up and not be blown to smithereens. Those doing the bombings are just animals and cowards and have absolutely no concept of God.
Very great and informative site!
by the way, agree with takis!
Keep upt he good works here!
Your site never ceases to amaze me!
My heart goes out to all the innocent people in Iraq who's only crime is that they DON'T want to fight.
Animals don't care WHAT innocent people want or don't want.
Animals are animals:

balqis thanks for visiting...I agree with Takis as well
Baghdad IS a hell-hole AC. Praying the filth will be cleaned up eventually and folks can go back to some semblance of normality one day.
In the chaos of Iraq, one project is on target: a giant US embassy:

Hello!!Thank so much for droping at my blog.Your's still in great shape thanks to the appaling events. As I once told I'm glad to live her no matter the difficulties I'm facing to get a regular job.I can't imagine myself living under fire. Yesteday we felt an earthquake and I got pretty scared as my floor moved.I feel sorry for those who want to have a normal life in those territories.
I'm glad you enjoyed my collage!:-)
Man,words can't express my feeling about that first photo or the story. As for the other two photos, you'll never see them in a newspaper or on nightly TV. The media over here terms Afghanistan as "our forgotten war." The only part that was forgotten is they forget to report on it. Just because something isn't reported on, doesn't mean it isn't happening. Thanks for keeping us in the know, FreeCyprus.
